What sets the ProLite II apart from other LED lights?
The ProLite II is not just another LED light, it is a complete lighting system designed to solve all your lighting needs. With the addition of a few accessories, you can use your ProLite II for countless activities such as Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Caving, Climbing, Diving, Search & Rescue and Hunting just to name a few.
How long will the light run?
Why is color balancing important?
Pure white LED’s may seem brighter but they don’t give good contrast on dark colored objects such as dark brown mud. For example, on uneven terrain the mud will appear to be black just like the shadowed hollow next to it. With the color balanced ProLite II LED light you will get good contrast and the objects will appear more natural in color.
Why do some 7 or 10 LED lights appear to be brighter than ProLite’s 20 LEDs?
Some manufacturers are using reflectors to concentrate the limited amount of light from fewer LEDs into a “hot spot”. With the ProLite II the light is more evenly distributed over a wider area. The advantage to this approach is to reduce tunnel vision in a very dark environment such as a cave, heavily wooded area or Moonless night. This also has the benefit of reducing eye strain since the eye does not have to adjust from total darkness to a bright “hot spot”
What is the benefit of the MagForce TM switch?
There are several benefits of the MagForce switch: First, the actual electric switches are hermetically sealed inside of the light housing to prevent damage and corrosion. Second, the switch does not penetrate the light housing preventing water from entering the housing. Third, the switch is easily operated with either the right or the left hand, even if gloved or otherwise impaired.
Is the ProLite II waterproof?
I have a special need for a ProLite II with different color LEDs; can it be made for me?

Why have a Xenon spot bulb in an LED light and what is its advantage?
While the LEDs are great for wide area illumination at close to medium distances, they don’t adequately illuminate distant objects. Some manufacturers use high power LEDs, but these LEDs have a very short life span, 20 days vs. 11 years for a normal LED, and they are very expensive to replace. The ProLite II uses a 6W lensed Xenon bulb to provide long distant illumination. These bulbs are inexpensive and they are user replaceable.
